I have a job that is a little “off the beaten path” for an Agricultural Engineer. Talk about a versatile degree! I am a Technical Marketing Representative in the Global Mining Division for Caterpillar Inc. Currently, I am in a two year rotational training program that is preparing me to move to a job “in the field,” somewhere in the world. I will be responsible for Caterpillar dealer development, assisting in business plan achievement, and customer relations. To make a long story short, I get to travel to awesome places all over the world, see amazing mine sites, and develop relationships with great people.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting my degree at NDSU. It was challenging but also fun. As it got closer to graduation, I felt very confident that I would be able to get a job; not only get a job, but also have options to choose from. This confidence came from the time and effort the Agricultural Engineering program invests in developing and preparing their students for “life after graduation.” My Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering degree led me to a career that is fun, challenging, and rewarding. I would recommend the NDSU Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering program to anyone!
