In my current role at Phoenix International - A John Deere Company, I am responsible for the testing of electronics. In this role the integrity and ethics learned in ABEN guide my every decision to ensure John Deere products continue to be known for high quality and superior innovation. Although Phoenix International is an electronics company, the opportunity ABEN gave me to take classes in all different disciplines of engineering has prepared me for understanding the complex environment of electronics.
The education and guidance I received from the Agricutural and Biosystems Engineer Department set the groundwork for my career at John Deere. Through the guidance of the faculty I chose to take an internship with John Deere Harvester Works. This decision jump started my career at John Deere by introducing me to the engineering product development life cycle before graduation. The skills learned from my education helped me succeed at the internship and the skills learned from the internship helped me succeed at school. The classes and teamwork environment in the ABEN department prepared me for the many teams and projects I have been a part of while working at John Deere.
