Al Batt is a writer, speaker, storyteller and humorist. He was born and raised on a farm near Heartland, Minnesota and currently lives in the Batt cave with his wife Gail. Al writes four weekly humor and nature columns for many newspapers and does a show three times a week about nature that airs on a number of radio stations. He writes popular cartoon strips that are syndicated nationally and has written jokes for a former President of the United States. Al has written a number of magazine articles and books, including the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. He is a contributing author to the book Minnesota Bird Watching. Al appears each week on “Memories and Musings by Al Batt” on KSMQ-TV. Speaking at various festivals, conferences and conventions all over the United States is something he enjoys. Al leads tours to places like Alaska, disappears into the woods whenever he's able, and speaks to anyone who will listen.
