Goals for 2008-2009
Our Goal for this year’s competition is a top 5 finish. With a few rule changes this year to shake up the entire competition, there is a big opportunity for a top finish. The Bison Pullers are fresh off a team-best 8th place finish at the 2008 national competition, and are ready to build off that to a top 5 finish. What does your donation help?
Your donation will help this year’s team pay for the cost of building the tractor, as well as transportation costs of going to the competition in Peioria, IL.
Not as visible, but just as important, are the skills that the students learn by being involved in this competition. Team members learn many skills that cannot be learned from a book, but must be experienced to fully understand. These skills include; organization, accountability, responsibility, and most importantly teamwork.
The Benefits...
Your donation will help the students meet the costs incurred in the competition which in previous years the students have had to pay out of their own pockets. Your donation will also put your business’s name in front of numerous prospective patrons. Sponsoring the Bison Pullers with a donation of more than $250 puts your decals on the tractors made that year, which get seen at national competition, numerous parades and shows. You will also recieve a plaque to hang at your business thanking you for your donation, and you will also have the option to have the tractor brought to your business for display.
