President Shannon Reardon called the meeting to order.

Secretary’s Report:  Read and approved

Treasurer’s Report: 

  • ASAE - $747.62

  • 1/4-Scale Tractor - $510.90

  • Alpha Epsilon - $324.11

President's Report: 

  • Congratulations to Dr. Bon for receiving the Engineering Teacher of the Year Award.

  • The community service project at Bonanzaville went well.

  • Fluid Power Handbooks are in and can be purchased for $3 in the office.

  • ASAE sweatshirts, t-shirts, and caps are available in the ABEN office.

  • AGR Beach Blast 2005

  • May 6 in Shepperd Arena from 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.

  • Tickets are $5 at the door and $4 in advance.

  • Profits go to the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center.

Vice President’s Report: 

  • After the meeting the people that went on the spring break trip, please sign the thank you cards.

  • The spring picnic will be on Tuesday, May 3.

  • The ASM Club is going go-carting on May 5.

Scribe’s Report:  

  • None.

CSO Report:

  • None.

CASAC Report:

  • None.

E&A Report:

  • None.

Committee Reports:  

  • Lawnmower/Snow Blower Clinic

    • Participation was okay

    • A rough estimate was $800-900 revenue.

    • May want to bump up cost of service by $5 next year.

    • Some possible advice for next year:

      • Charge more for pickup and delivery if in Moorhead or South Fargo

      • More help with pickup and delivery

      • The trailer should be fixed

    • Two more units to be finished

  • 1/4 Scale Tractor - None.

  • Homecoming - None.

  • Picture Board - Some pictures need to be taken.

  • Membership  - None.

  • Activities & Tours - May 5 - possible go-carting with ASM

  • Community Service - 

  • Coat Design - in progress.

Old Business:  

  • None.

New Business: 

  • Motion was made to open discussion for the first meeting of next year.

    • It was decided that the first meeting will be on August 25, 2005.

  • Motion was made and seconded to create a fall picnic committee.

    • Volunteering for the committee were Jason Webster, Steven Wosick, Zachary Verlinde, and Cary Slominski

  • A motion was made and seconded for deciding when fall picnic should be.

    • The fall picnic will be September 1, 2005.

Announcements: 

  • Mr. Backer mentioned that the fall picnic committee should talk to the Red River Valley Section of ASAE for possible help with the fall picnic.
