Officer Reports:

- Vice President: Tours and presentations. Polaris was mentioned and the group was asked if they have any ideas.

- Treasurer: ASABE - $1649.22; Quarter Scale - $100.87; Alpha Epsilon - %222.86

- Secretary: Minutes were read and approved.

- CSO: It was announced that there would be a meeting on September 19, the officer form was discussed, volunteer hours were brought up, and it was recognized that there is a transcript for extra curricular activities.

- CASAC: Meetings have been held. Ag spirit day is October 5 – there will be volleyball, a catered BBQ and such. We should probably head over there and show some support.

- President:
- Peter welcomed all of the new people

- The engineering tech expo is 9/27 at the Fargo dome
- Go to the career center to learn more
- Go even if you are young
- Wear business clothes
- Bring your student ID because it is a closed event.
- NDSU weekend entertainment event
- If it is held between 9 pm and 1 am you can apply for $100 grant
- Homecoming is October 9 – 14.
- Blue Key homecoming show was mentioned
- King and queen applications are due tomorrow
- The parade is on the 14th at 10 am the theme is “dancing through the decades.
- Dues are due tonight, $10 and you get a free tshirt.
- The committee sign up sheet went around for round 2.
Committee Reports:

- Fall picnic: Everything is done. There were a few hamburgers left over, it was mentioned that we should, “Cook them up when having another event.”

- Lawnmower/snow blower clinic: Not much is going on right now, we’re waiting to hear from ASM about a date.

- Homecoming: They are thinking of ideas, maybe dancing people on floats

- Picture board: Derek took a few, he’s going to go to the ABEN 110 class to get more. He is then going to put the new ones up and take the old ones down.

- Website: They are going to start working on it. Our president wants officer up dates and the minutes posted after every meeting.

- Tours and activities: No report

- Community Service: No report

- Jackets/T-shirts: Order them again, put up list in lab and send out an email

- ¼ Scale: Went to Big Iron
- Need to fundraise
- Overall Big Iron was a good event – good exposure, good recruiting
- More educated people talked to Peter P than to Nate Meyer.
- It was announced that there were having a meeting on Sept. 19

- Unfinished Business: None

New Business:
- Jake asked if there was going to be a meeting with speakers

- Peter gates motioned to open up nominations for homecoming king and queen candidates.
- Peter Gates Nominated Peter Polansky, he then moved to have a unanimous ballot and Nate Meyer seconded it.
- Peter Gates Nominated Amber Leaf, he then moved to have a unanimous ballot and Derek Nieuwsma.

- Motion for the homecoming float to be done with SWE was unanimously passed.

- Curt made a motion to go to Thunder road and Amber 2nd.
- Are we allowed to go there?
- Curt was going to check on costs and dates.

- Committee was made for Curt to look into it.
- Freshman could go for free
- The motion was tabled.

Announcements:
- Engineering Tech expo on September 27.

- Remember to pay your dues

- National membership for ASABE, Peter P encourages it and it’s only $20 to join

- Next summer is the 100th Anniversary for ASABE and it’s going to be a big two week celebration.
- Dr. Bon also highly encourages joining the National ASABE

- The president wants the meeting dates put on the web.
