involving digital land use data (developing). This workshop is designed to showcase real-world applications of GIS technology and remotely-sensed land cover data. The sessions provide a concise but comprehensive overview of the integration of land use data and other GIS spatial data. Working with remotely sensed
land use classification imagery This workshop aims at demonstrating the GIS tips and tools that enhance participants proficiency in working with and understanding imagery (raster) datasets in ArcView environment. Instructions include use of various raster data tools that provide powerful and easy-to-use GIS functions. GIs
and Remote Sensing for K-12 This program is designed to help make youth experience GIs technology firsthand and be more aware of the GIs technology and the substantial contributions that GIs technology makes to communities. The idea is to make visits to area school classrooms and share GIs expertise with students through demonstrations that capture the children's imagination and give them a better understanding of geography and geographical information systems.
