Protecting our Food Systems is one of the critical needs. A multi-disciplinary research effort has been initiated to develop and evaluate intelligent sensors for evaluation of Spoilage and Pathogen (Salmonella) Contamination of Beef. We are using different Olfactory Sensing Techniques including Electronic Nose Technology. Our obtained results shows potential, once developed intelligent sensor technology can be applied for other pathogen and food applications.
